    There are several benefits to the front squat. For starters if you couldn't tell by the pain in your wrists that it provides some flexibilty over time in the shoulders and wrists. Secondly, for strength it's a different way to attack the legs. Also if you ever want to learn to clean you need to know and be very comfortable with the front squat. The pain in your wrists will go away in time... till then rub some dirt on it
