It’s okay to set and have boundaries… with literally everyone and everything in your life.

It’s okay to say no, even to people close to you.

It’s okay to put yourself first.

For a long time, especially when I first started my business, I thought I had to be available 24/7 for people. I thought I had to say yes to every meeting request.

And I would run myself ragged trying to meet all my obligations… rushing from one meeting to the next, hardly having any time to myself or for much else. And I would literally get sick from doing entirely too much.

I’m not sure who taught me or where I learned it, but I finally realized I didn’t have to say yes to every meeting request. I didn’t have to accept the suggested meeting date and time. That it was okay to suggest another date and time that worked better for me.

And guess what? The world didn’t end. I didn’t lose any business. And in the process, I became more calm and focused and achieved even more than I had before.

It can be a hard lesson to learn. Being too available can cause so many issues. In your personal life, your business life, just your life in general.

Set boundaries. For me, I have to be okay with not responding to messages after hours. Things will wait til the following morning. I have to respect mine and my family’s time.

Make sure you do the same. Don’t let anyone take advantage of you, your time, or your peace.

So, what boundaries do you need to set? Or reinforce? I’d love to hear more or even help you in setting them.

Have a beautiful week!
