What are your goals for 2023? I don’t like to call them resolutions, because let’s be real, we rarely stick to our resolutions.

We have great intentions when we set them and we may start out really strong, but then we get a couple weeks in and we get lazy. Or we get bored. Or we aren’t seeing any progress so we simply stop trying.

Several years ago, I stopped setting resolutions. Instead, I set intentions and goals that have clear steps and checkpoints so I know I’m making progress. Because I am 100% the type of person that needs to see that I’m making some sort of progress, no matter how small it is. And I love lists so I can check things off as I go!

So now that we’re in 2023, what are your goals? What are your intentions for this year? What do you want to see happen in the first quarter of the year? How about 6 months in? And what do you want to have accomplished by year end?

Write your goals down. Write down the big picture goals, then work backwards. See what steps you need to take to get to those big picture goals. You will achieve those goals if you break them down. I promise, it makes them much easier to achieve if you take them in small bites. Just like eating an elephant!

I’m going to be setting my goals this week, although I’ve been thinking about them a lot over the past several weeks. I have financial goals, relationship goals, business goals, faith goals, gym goals, familial goals. And I know I may not reach all of them this year, but I know where I want to be by year end. And I know that I’ll reach them if I break them down into smaller bite-size pieces.

I’d love to hear what goals you have for this year. See if we can help support one another and hold each other accountable.

I hope you had a happy and safe New Year’s Eve, and have a beautiful week. Work on those goals and intentions this week!
